Charlie-6 MONTHS!!!!

For the last 2 1/2 weeks Charlie has not been feeling well. He's been to the doctor 4 times, tested for RSV twice, but it was negative, not sleeping good (one night he woke up every 30 minutes or so crying), fever, couging, runny/stuffy nose, just one sad little baby boy. We've been doing nebulizer treatments, he had to be on oxygen for 3 days. I must say he looks pretty cute with those oxygen tubes. We are finally on the mend, for real this time. He is finally acting normal, smiling, laughing, playing. It was so sad when he would just sit in our arms, fussing. His 6 month mark passed 8 days ago, and today I finally got around to taking his 6 month pictures.

Daddy Daughter Dance

A church in Durango put on a Daddy Daughter dance. Jesse called Alaina on the phone to ask her out on a 'date' to this dance. She was really excited. We bought her a new dress, I curled her hair, and they were off!I stayed home with my boys all night.

Alaina's Birthday Party

For Alaina's birthday party with her school friends we decorated cakes. I made 6in round cakes and stacked 2 per girl--This is the cake I made: This is Alaina's cake. They decorated with pink, blue, and white icing and different kinds of candies. Messy, but lots of fun! A glimpse of the mess. Each girl got to take her cake home in her own box. They also decorated aprons with markers that they got to take home. This was back in December obviously, just getting around to posting! :)

In My Place

Tonight my daughter put me in my place. I don't tell this story to tell you how I sucked at being a mom tonight, but to remind you that you never know what's on the other side of, " MOM! ".

I was sitting at my desk tonight, finally sitting down after going back and forth between Jonah and Alaina saying goodnight, getting milk, fixing blankets, etc. Charlie was crying cause I had set him down, and I was, needless to say, a little frustrated. Then I heard, "MOM!" After responding in a not so nice way and walking down the hall to see what she wanted I saw this: She started crying and said, "I just wanted to show you this." I sat down, hugged my daughter, and asked for her forgiveness. So the moral of the story: Next time you hear, "MOM!" don't act like an irritated jerk. :)

Sledding

We went sledding a few weekends ago. It wasn't for very long, but we had fun.
Jesse did most of the work:

I took the pictures and went down the hill a couple times.

Cheer Camp

Alaina got to go to Cheerleading camp in February. The cheerleaders at the high school spent four afternoons with them after school teaching them cheers and a dance. They performed at the basketball game on Friday night. She loved it and was so cute out there!
Especially when she was bored...

As Promised.....

Once upon a long long time ago, I promised some pictures of Alaina. Here are her official seven year old pictures. Is it just me or does she get more and more beautiful every day?
Alaina continues to be...Alaina. Spunky, Funny, Dramatic, and asks A LOT of questions. I like it though. She's so much fun and such a good big sister.
